October 22, 2015

We have been blessed with another wonderful day.  Temps will be perfect for fishing today and next few days going forward.  Streams are clear and fish are eating.

Reports out of Hazel Creek of several fish caught on Pink Worms.  Caddis are also hatching in the afternoons with Midge patterns also working.

The Upper Nantahala is fishing good.  Expect to see many anglers at this poplar destination.  One of guides had awesome success on a #12 Olive Deep Six Caddis.

The Tuckasegee is fishing good but it seems that several trout are being taken on traditional nymph patterns such as Hares Ear, Prince Nymph, and Pheasant Tail Nymphs to name a few.  Duke is scheduled to generate on the West Fork today from 6AM until 11:59PM.  Check water flows before entering the stream.
