November 18, 2015

The rain and wind is making it presence felt this morning with all us being under a flood watch until Thursday.  Heavy rain is expected late this evening with eastern facing slopes forecast to receive up to 4 inches of rain.  We will have to see what we get but it is not looking good.  The one thing I can say is that it has certainly been mild which has allowed many to get out on the WNC Fly Fishing Trail in Jackson County.

After this front moves out I would suggest Scotts Creek, Caney Fork, and even the Trophy Section in Cherokee.  Now it will take a few days for the Trophy Section water to recede but it has been fishing well and it is one of the fifteen spots on the WNC Fly Fishing Trail.  Scotts Creek and Caney Fork should clear up the quickest but still check flows before entering.  If in doubt stay out.

Tight Lines and Bent Rods!
