November 17, 2015

I have been on the water the last 3 days.  I have fished DH water, hatchery supported water, and the GSMNP.  We got fish in all the places mentioned above.  Nymphs and dries worked in the GSMNP and nymphs on the DH and the hatchery supported water.  The Tuckasegee is flowing in the mid 500'scfs so it's a technical wade but it is fishing well.

Scotts Creek fished well with some runs producing as many as 5 fish.  The water flow was good and clear and no fishing pressure.

GSMNP was the slowest but it did produce fish.  Expect to find the trout in the areas you normally wouldn't.  Search out water with sun hitting it and shallow edges, that's where the fish action is.  The water temps are cooling off and you can tell in the way they are hitting right now.

Tight Lines and Bent Rods!
