February 26, 2018

We just had a wonderful week of weather and we are off to a bit off of a soggy start to this one.  I had measured .5" of water in the rain gauge starting yesterday morning. We are overcast this morning and to be honest it feels humid to me.  We are looking at a high of 56 today but even warmer Tuesday with a high of 63. by the weekend we could be looking at some cooler temps with lows in the 20's which gets us back on track for March.

Lake levels are still above target for a few of the lakes which has Duke flowing a lot of water form the East and West Forks of the Tuckasegee River and the Nantahala Rivers.  Other smaller streams are doing well with good fishing flows.

Nymphs are still the best choice right now even though we are seeing little Black Stones.  Key in on subsurface patterns to increase your chances.

Tight Lines!
