Rain rain go away which seems to be out motto lately.  We have had good rainfall all morning and we are hoping that it lets up soon.  The local streams are dingy but I am not sure about streams in the park but even if so they will clear up the quickest.

Expect high flows on the Tuckasegee River as Duke continues dumping water 24 hours a day but it looks like the Nantahala may get a break in water flows Thursday.  I have had friends fishing in the GSMNP the past few days with some success so wade fishing is possible. I strongly suggest floating the Tuck as these conditions are good for some big browns.
