The bite on the Tuckasegee River in Jackson County is on fire right now! The high water conditions are good for floating and throwing some big flies to these hungry trout. If you have a boat now is a good time to be on the water. Wading is still slim to none based on current flows but floating will get you to the trout.
Scotts Creek is looking good today and I expect it to be fishing well. The conditions just seem right and if I was going with a gut feeling, I would fish it. We are expecting some more rain this weekend but not crazy amounts like we have had recently. Streams like Scotts Creek and Caney Fork could be great options for wade fishermen.
Tight Lines!
