December 2, 2015
It looks like we are in a monsoon season versus a fall/winter season. Very high stream flows and standing water lead our report today. Scotts Creek is almost out of its bank, Tuckasegee River in Bryson City is flowing at 17,800cfs, and Cataloochee Creek in the GSMNP is flowing at 1610cfs. These are well above normal to say the least.
Stop by and see us at the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Expo Friday and Saturday at the WNC Ag Center in Asheville. I will do fly tying and will have information about the Western North Carolina Fly Fishing Trail, trips that Blackrock Outdoors offers, and some small retail items. Stop by and say hi.
Tight Lines!
