Rain, rain, and more rain.  With rainfall amounts approaching 7-8 inches below normal this rain is a welcome site.  Rainfall amounts of up to 2 inches are in the forecast today but streams still have a ways to go before reaching normal levels.  The rain should also help cool the water a bit. 

My advice is to stay in and prepare for a great fall season of trout fishing in the mountains.  If you venture out expect dingy and higher water conditions.  Be safe and use a wading staff.
